O melhor curso na melhor universidade para você

To meet the ambitious targets set by Government to reduce greenhouse gas emissions over the next two decades, it is predicted that around 12,000 more low carbon design and construction specialists will be needed each year. This professionally accredited course aims to equip you with the knowledge, technical and practical skills and techniques required for a successful career as a building services engineer, able to respond to environmental and ethical considerations, while taking into consideration relevant social and economic implications too. We enjoy a strong portfolio of industry-related research, particularly in the areas of low carbon building technology, sustainable construction materials and engineering education. You will have the chance to study in our Â?50m Engineering and Computing building, its environmentally-led design classed as â??Excellentâ?? by BREEAM, the world's leading sustainability assessment method for master planning projects, infrastructure and buildings. The building provides a dynamic learning experience: as well as incorporating a range of sustainable technologies, including rainwater harvesting, solar thermal energy and biomass boilers, all the services are exposed so you can study the forces at work on the concrete and steel and see how services wind their way around the building. The main plant room also has a high-level gangway that enables you to look down on the biomass and gas boilers and other equipment. Our course has developed over the years with input from and in consultation with our network of industry partners and professional organisations, which includes the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers, CPWP, WSP Group, Interserve, NG Bailey and Morgan-Sindal. Members of staff from these organisations also contribute with guest lectures and collaborative research projects to ensure you stay abreast of current professional practice.
